What is a Child record?
A Child record represents a single individual participant in your LENA project.
All recordings captured for a participant should be assigned to his or her one Child record so that all associated data remain grouped together. The number of recording files that can be assigned to a single Child is limited only by the amount of storage on your computer.
Each child can belong to one Group, but group affiliation is not required.
Required information stored in Client Manager for each Child includes:
- first and last name (or substitute ID code of your choice)
- date of birth
- gender
- date of enrollment (auto-generated)
- child key (auto-generated)
- child ID (auto-generated, or can be customized to match client billing ID number or research ID code)
Optional information in Client Manager for each Child includes:
- any currently assigned DLP
- any Group assignment
- any free-form notes you may wish to enter
