How does LENA work?
Collect natural language data with LENA in 3 easy steps:
- Record. A child wears a highly advanced, yet compact and lightweight LENA Recorder (DLP) in special acoustically designed LENA Clothing to record 10-16 hours of his or her natural language environment.
- Return. After recording, the DLP is connected to a PC running the LENA Pro software to transfer and process the audio file using advanced algorithms and statistical modeling.
- Review. For each recording processed, the LENA Pro software displays counts, percentiles, scores, and more for review and further analysis.
