What to do if Windows asks you to format your DLP

Windows 8 and later may prompt you to format an individual DLP the first time it is connected to the system, before the LENA software has had a chance to communicate with the device.

You do not want to format the device, yet clicking Cancel may cause Windows to take the device offline.

Please follow these steps if you see the formatting prompt.

Note:  If you continue to see the prompt for the same DLP after following these steps, you may need to upgrade your LENA software, or there may be another issue affecting your computer's ability to communicate with the DLP.  Please contact [email protected].

1. Disconnect your DLP.

2. Click Cancel on the reformatting prompt.

3. Reconnect your DLP.

If LENA is communicating properly with the DLP, you should not see the prompt again for this device.  You may see the prompt again the first time any other DLP is connected.
