Transfer LENA Collector Files to a LENA Flash Drive
Follow these steps when ready to load all files from the remote LENA Collector site to a LENA Flash Drive for transport to the main LENA Pro site. The Flash Drive recipient will import these files into LENA Pro for processing.
A LENA Flash Drive will hold up to 32 full-length audio files.
Note:
- All recordings on the LENA Collector will transfer together. There is no option to transfer a subset.
- If your Collector computer contains more files than will fit on the Flash Drive, you will be prompted to enter another flash drive. The "extra" files will remain on the Collector until another flash drive is connected.
- Please devise a process for backing up your Collector data - suggestions here.
1. Launch LENA Collector.
2. Insert the LENA Flash Drive into a USB port on the computer.
Only a designated LENA Flash Drive should be used, or the files will not transfer properly and may be lost.

4. Click Manual Transfer.
All pending files - all files uploaded since the previous transfer - will transfer to the LENA Flash Drive.
5. Monitor the status of the transfer.
Note: The progress bars and "files" refer to children, not to individual recordings.
For example, if LENA Collector held 3 children's data with 4 files each, the screen would indicate "3 files" transferring.
7. Disconnect the LENA Flash Drive from the computer for transport to the main LENA Pro site.
- Right click on the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media icon in your system tray.con.
- Chose the LENA Flash Drive
- Remove when safe.

8. Continue using LENA Collector for new incoming data.
The exported set of files are no longer available for manual transfer...
