Assign and transfer audio from a DLP to LENA Collector: EXISTING Child
After you connect the DLP to the computer, the DLP assignment screen appears. Assigning the recording to a child initiates audio transfer.
Follow these steps to assign the recording if the child already exists in your LENA Collector Client Manager list.
If the child is not in your LENA Collector list, don't panic! You can add a new child in-line with file assignment.
1. Connect the DLP and wait for the DLP Assignment window.
- See the DLP serial number.
- Check the recording Start Time and End Time against your records.
4. Data transfer begins.
You will see Transferring in the Status column, and a reminder to leave the DLP connected during transfer. Transfer takes 2-3 minutes.
After transfer, the DLP is empty. You do not need to manually purge the DLP.
5. Data compression begins.
You will see Compressing in the Status column.
During file compression, you may disconnect your DLP to prepare it for the next use. It is empty and ready to be charged using the wall charger.
File compression takes a few minutes for one full 16-hour file.
LENA Tip: Queuing a series of DLPS
If you have additional DLP recordings to upload, you may connect and transfer them one at a time, without waiting for compression to complete. (See here for detailed information with screenshots.)
- Connect the next DLP now.
- Assign the recording to initiate transfer.
- After Transferring, the status changes to Pending.
- The now empty DLP may be disconnected, and a third DLP connected.
- You may continue connecting a series of DLPs, one at a time.
- As each file finishes compressing, the next in line will automatically move from Pending to Compressing.
