Enter a Developmental Snapshot
Developmental Snapshot responses may be entered live during a caregiver interview, or taken from the printed form filled out by the caregiver.
1. Click Developmental Snapshot on the top navigation bar.
This option is available:
- in Client Manager when a child is highlighted
- in any LENA Report view
2. Click "Fill out Questionnaire."
3. Enter the interview date, or date the paper form was completed.
The data entry date ("today") is always entered by default. If you are working from a hard copy filled out one or more days ago, enter the questionnaire completion date to ensure accurate results.
4. Click “yes” or “not yet” for each question in sequence.
Detailed instructions for determining the best answer to each question are located in the left hand sidebar of the Developmental Snapshot screen.
5. LENA automatically prompts you to submit the Snapshot.
The Submit prompt appears after five "Not Yet" answers in a row, or when you have answered all 52 questions - whichever comes first. When you submit the Snapshot, the responses are tabulated and scored automatically.
6. Receive confirmation that the Snapshot has been saved.
Click OK to see your options.
Option 1: Print this Snapshot form.
The form printed will show the questions and responses but not the results. Click the printer icon to send to a printer or create a PDF for later printing.
Option 2: Enter another Developmental Snapshot for this child.
Click Start Over, select the next questionnaire date, and repeat the previous steps.
Also, if you know you made a mistake on this questionnaire, use Start Over to re-enter the parent's responses for this date. When you submit the Snapshot, you'll see a message about overwriting the existing data - click OK to replace the old results with the corrected ones.
Option 3: Click View Chart to see this child's results.

Option 4: Enter a Developmental Snapshot for another child.
Use the drop-down menu to select another child, then follow the same steps as above.
