Enable automatic ITS file export to a designated location

The automatic export option is provided as a convenience for LENA Pro users who intend to use ADEX for data analysis of all files.  It automatically places the ITS file for every new upload in a single location without the need for manual selection and export.

Important notes:

  • The file path must be valid for any user who logs on to upload data.  If more than one user uploads files to LENA, do not choose a path specific to your own username, such as a folder on your desktop.  An invalid automatic export path will cause a failure message during processing that may prevent queued files from processing.
  • If your software is used for several different LENA projects, please remember that all new ITS files will be exported to the location in effect during processing.  You may wish to verify the automatic export filepath before transferring a DLP file for processing to ensure that your ITS file(s) will be exported to the location of your choice.
  • This feature applies to all files processed going forward.  The .its files are not exported retroactively.  Files processed prior to turning on automatic ITS export will require manual selection and export.
  • You may turn off automatic export at any time by unmarking the box shown in step 2.
  • You may change the path at any time by clicking the Choose Path button shown in step 3.  Changing the path does not alter or update the .its file location for previously processed files.

Follow these steps to automatically export the .its file to a designated folder after each recording is processed.

1. Open the Export Data dialog.

From any LENA report, click on the export icon.

Open the Export Data dialog.

2. Mark the ITS box under Automatic Export.

(The ITS is the only file type currently available for automatic export.)

Mark the ITS box under Automatic Export.

3. Choose or change the location for your ITS files.

  1. Click Choose Path.
  2. Enter the filepath, or use the ellipses button to browse to and select the desired location.
  3. Click OK.

Remember, this location must remain valid, meaning that it must be accessible to anyone who is logged on to upload LENA data.  Do not choose a path specific to your own username, such as a folder on your desktop.  An invalid automatic export path will cause a failure message during processing that prevents queued files from processing.

Choose or change the location for your ITS files.

4. The next time a file is processed, the corresponding ITS file will automatically export to the selected folder.
