4. Adjust as needed.

Click the radio button that meets your needs.

In most cases, No Limit is the best choice.  Audio storage is limited only by the capacity of your storage drive.

For projects that require audio deletion, By Quantity may be a good choice.  Once you reach your storage limit, you will automatically be prompted to delete the oldest file each time you upload a new file.  By choosing a low number of files and consistently verifying the data post-processing, you can ensure that the audio persists long enough to catch errors that require reprocessing, but the files continually roll off to maintain compliance.

You can also choose By Size to indicate the maximum amount of storage space you'll designate for LENA audio files.

Note:  Certain older versions of LENA had a storage settings bug.

  • The default setting on the screen was No Limit, but the software behaved as though a By Quantity limitation had been selected.
  • The remedy was to manually select By Size or By Quantity, set that selection, and then reselect No Limit and set that selection.
  • If you have No Limit selected but continue to see prompts to delete audio even though your Available Drives table shows sufficient space remaining, please contact LENA Support for assistance.
