How do I delete an unwanted recording from the DLP?

While there is no way to delete the recording directly from the DLP, the LENA software can be used to delete a recording without assigning or processing it.

The Purge DLP option in the DLP assignment window allows you to eliminate a recording from the DLP without uploading it.

Purge DLP is essential for clearing off any recorded data that may have been added accidentally (e.g., while testing or demonstrating DLP button functions) before recording "real" data.  It is also useful if a participant is unhappy with some aspect of the recording and has requested the data be destroyed.

1. Connect the DLP to the LENA computer.

2. When the File Assignment window appears, click Purge.

The file is deleted, and the DLP is ready to record again.

Use Purge DLP judiciously, as the data cannot be recovered after purging.

When the File Assignment window appears, click Purge.
